Fenerbahçe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurtuluş İmren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 35th minute, Kamuran Pekdeger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 75 minutes, Kurtuluş İmren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ENDERSON's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurtuluş İmren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Kurtuluş İmren came free, but Cevat Özkent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurtuluş İmren in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cevat Özkent saved Fenerbahçe from getting behind. Kurtuluş İmren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cevat Özkent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cevat Özkent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurtuluş İmren in the 88th minute of play. After 89 minutes, Teoman Koçak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenerbahçe and the ENDERSON players grew even worse after the yellow card.
