The crowd rose to their feet as Sefaköy's Bilgin Gulabi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Battal Gazi Özgiray. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Doğukan Erandaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Tacettin İlker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sefaköy getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Erman Hamurcuoğlu hit a great ball. Tacettin İlker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reha Gencay in the 8th minute of play. Şamil Seyfeddin kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Sefaköy's goal looked a bit too open when Reha Gencay came free, but Tacettin İlker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erman Hamurcuoğlu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Erman Hamurcuoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erman Hamurcuoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Sefaköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erman Hamurcuoğlu to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match Battal Cüneyt Ehil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tacettin İlker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. İlhami Kavi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlhami Kavi in the 16th minute of play forced Sefaköy's goalkeeper Tacettin İlker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Muhsin Heybetli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26thth minute of the game İlhami Kavi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sefaköy's Tacettin İlker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Muhsin Heybetli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Battal Gazi Özgiray having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Gökceyazi's İlhami Kavi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tacettin İlker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 37 played minutes Gökceyazi got a freekick which was hit by Doğukan Erandaç. Erman Hamurcuoğlu hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bilgin Gulabi to make the kick off. Battal Gazi Özgiray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhsin Heybetli, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, İlhami Kavi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Reha Gencay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sefaköy fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Sefaköy's Bilgin Gulabi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice moves Reha Gencay could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Tacettin İlker however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Sefaköy's zone, İlhami Kavi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tacettin İlker came out of the goal and İlhami Kavi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gökceyazi's Battal Gazi Özgiray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bilgin Gulabi in the 68th minute of play. Sefaköy's Tacettin İlker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Sefaköy from getting a goal against them. When İlhami Kavi came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Gökceyazi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İlhami Kavi couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the match, Sefaköy's goalkeeper Tacettin İlker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reha Gencay. Cevat Çoğa kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İlhami Kavi in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tacettin İlker saved Sefaköy from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Reha Gencay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gökceyazi's supporters rose to their feet, but Reha Gencay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tacettin İlker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sefaköy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
