The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dorukhan Kutalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özkan Yağan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 23rd minute, Fuat Koyak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. İrfan Çoğaş made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Fuat Koyak sent off a good shot on target. Hacı Ali Sarıalp charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hacı Ali Sarıalp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Edirne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hacı Ali Sarıalp to maneuver through the defense. Dorukhan Kutalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özkan Yağan in the 28th minute of the match. Semdinli JK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zülfikar Öztürk in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute, Zülfikar Öztürk made a precise shot to the right of Dorukhan Kutalp. Edirne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 37th minute, Fuat Koyak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. İrfan Çoğaş was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Zülfikar Öztürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Semdinli JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Zülfikar Öztürk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorukhan Kutalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Semdinli JK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zülfikar Öztürk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Edirne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Numan Kiray to maneuver through the defense. Dorukhan Kutalp came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Semdinli JK's Zülfikar Öztürk. But to his dismay, Zülfikar Öztürk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Aşık Altunhan kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Yahya Kemal Adılhan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Dorukhan Kutalp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Semdinli JK's attentive Abbas Temcit managed to snatch the ball when Ali Haydar Haktanır made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. 87 minutes into the match, Edirne's goal looked a bit too open when Zülfikar Öztürk came free, but Dorukhan Kutalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Deniz Özduran fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Semdinli JK's protests and gave Deniz Özduran a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Semdinli JK got a freekick which was hit by Deniz Özduran. Semdinli JK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
