After 18th play minutes Reha Gencay shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Mehmet Anıl Ulunay and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Numan Makbul in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Battal Gazi Özgiray saved Gökceyazi from getting behind. İlhami Kavi scored 2-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mehmet Anıl Ulunay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Gökceyazi's İlhami Kavi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mehmet Anıl Ulunay. That made the score 3-1 after 26 minutes of play. Battal Gazi Özgiray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gazanfer İnanç's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute İlhami Kavi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Anıl Ulunay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Numan Makbul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Reha Gencay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when İlhami Kavi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Battal Gazi Özgiray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gazanfer İnanç in the 74th minute. gazera's Mehmet Anıl Ulunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlhami Kavi in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gökceyazi's goalkeeper Battal Gazi Özgiray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Reha Gencay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehmet Anıl Ulunay. gazera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reha Gencay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Gökceyazi's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
