In the 36th minute of the match Hakkı Devrim Baykurt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ali Numan Tayman skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to TRABZONSPOR getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ahmet Gökalp Tolun hit a great ball. Yıldırım Bozoğlu struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ali Numan Tayman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AyvalıkGücü. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ilgaz Harmanda was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Aydemir Batıhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AyvalıkGücü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aydemir Batıhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ahmet Gökalp Tolun hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute AyvalıkGücü were awarded a corner. Mustafa Emrah Kılıçalp went to the cornerflag to take it. AyvalıkGücü's Mustafa Emrah Kılıçalp was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ali Numan Tayman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 70th minute, Kubilay Özozan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Numan Tayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yıldırım Bozoğlu in the 75th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, TRABZONSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Gökalp Tolun to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Yıldırım Bozoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Numan Tayman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TRABZONSPOR's Ilgaz Harmanda got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched TRABZONSPOR eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
