Güner Arınç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaan Cevizoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaan Cevizoğlu in the 14th minute of play forced Balkes Spor's goalkeeper Güner Arınç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Balkes Spor's Naim Ergüleç sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orçun Zahir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Balkes Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Hamdi Ilgın to maneuver through the defense. Naci Yenal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Güner Arınç. Balkes Spor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 21 played minutes Balkes Spor got a freekick which was hit by Karhan Sevgen. After recieving a nice pass, Kozan's Naci Yenal tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ahmet Gündüz Sarif hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Kaan Cevizoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güner Arınç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Balkes Spor getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Karhan Sevgen hit a great ball. Kozan's Orçun Zahir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Kozan from getting a goal against them. After 37 minutes of play, Balkes Spor's Naim Ergüleç made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orçun Zahir was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, Ahmet Gündüz Sarif notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Balkes Spor's Güner Arınç. Güner Arınç was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 48 minutes, Kaan Cevizoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kozan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaan Cevizoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kaan Cevizoğlu made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Naim Ergüleç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balkes Spor's supporters rose to their feet, but Naim Ergüleç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orçun Zahir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Şaban Kerim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Orçun Zahir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Karhan Sevgen notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Kozan's Orçun Zahir. Orçun Zahir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Balkes Spor's Şaban Kerim got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Kozan's Kaan Cevizoğlu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Güner Arınç. Güner Arınç yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Orçun Zahir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naim Ergüleç in the 76th minute of the match. Şaban Kerim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Özden Cangiray during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Karhan Sevgen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Güner Arınç was a little too slow when Kaan Cevizoğlu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 2-3. Naim Ergüleç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 played minutes Kozan got a freekick which was hit by Aktan Tozan. Şaban Kerim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balkes Spor's Güner Arınç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Balkes Spor from getting a goal against them.
