Yetkin Çırağ scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orçun Zahir, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute, Giray Necdet made a precise shot to the right of Orçun Zahir. Kozan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Giray Necdet might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Orçun Zahir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giray Necdet ran back to his position shaking his head. Sabanözü SK's Oğuz Habiboğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Asaf Irgatbaşı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaan Cevizoğlu in the 16th minute of the match. When Giray Necdet came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Sabanözü SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giray Necdet couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Kozan's Özden Cangiray got a free kick in the 19th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Sabanözü SK's Giray Necdet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orçun Zahir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Giray Necdet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orçun Zahir. Kozan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giray Necdet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After having played for 34 minutes, Giray Necdet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabanözü SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giray Necdet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giray Necdet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orçun Zahir having to make a save. Orçun Zahir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giray Necdet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Menderes Dağdelen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orçun Zahir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Oğuz Habiboğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giray Necdet in the 45th minute of play forced Kozan's goalkeeper Orçun Zahir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giray Necdet made a kick off. Menderes Türker kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Naci Yenal might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Asaf Irgatbaşı. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Naci Yenal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kozan's goalkeeper Orçun Zahir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orçun Zahir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oğuz Habiboğlu in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oğuz Habiboğlu got free with Orçun Zahir in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Menderes Dağdelen during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Sabanözü SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menderes Dağdelen to maneuver through the defense. Sabanözü SK made a substitution. Güvenç Raif replaced Menderes Dağdelen. Menderes Dağdelen hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Giray Necdet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orçun Zahir having to make a save. After some careless play in the Sabanözü SK defense, Macit Naci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Asaf Irgatbaşı. The Sabanözü SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Asaf Irgatbaşı should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Sabanözü SK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Aydın Temel hit a great ball. Giray Necdet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orçun Zahir having to interfere. Oğuz Habiboğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oğuz Habiboğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Orçun Zahir made a huge save. Orçun Zahir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giray Necdet in the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Giray Necdet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabanözü SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giray Necdet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
