The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in VAKFIKEBİR FK's zone, Berker Makul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gazi Yılmaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umur Okuyan in the 9th minute of play forced VAKFIKEBİR FK's goalkeeper Ali Baran Akaltan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Baran Akaltan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berker Makul, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Ali Baran Akaltan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umur Okuyan in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, VAKFIKEBİR FK's Kubat Başesgi got a free kick in the 26th minute. When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, VAKFIKEBİR FK's Rüştü Uralp got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Olcay Orkun Zekai. Mustafa Hakan Sinan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 43rd minute. VAKFIKEBİR FK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mustafa Hakan Sinan to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Adem Kamil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 51 played minutes, VAKFIKEBİR FK's Rüştü Uralp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olcay Orkun Zekai came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VAKFIKEBİR FK reached it. Şinasi Altuncuoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Mustafa Hakan Sinan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berker Makul got free with Ali Baran Akaltan in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mustafa Hakan Sinan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. VAKFIKEBİR FK's Ali Baran Akaltan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umur Okuyan in the 67th minute of play. Ali Baran Akaltan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Berker Makul went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umur Okuyan in the 76th minute of play forced VAKFIKEBİR FK's goalkeeper Ali Baran Akaltan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Baran Akaltan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umur Okuyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Azdavay getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Berker Makul hit a great ball. Berker Makul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Ali Baran Akaltan managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Azdavay's Berker Makul fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 95 minutes, Umur Okuyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azdavay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umur Okuyan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
