Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Haşim Kavi made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, one of Ilgin FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ilgin FK. MERSİN SK's Mehmet Emrah Adal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolunay Taçyıldız in the 8th minute of play. Alper Suerkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mirza Eyüpoğlu in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Mehmet Ferit Çelikhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Emrah Adal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Ilgin FK got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Ferit Çelikhan. Haşim Kavi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Alper Suerkan made a huge save. Alper Suerkan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haşim Kavi in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Haşim Kavi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alper Suerkan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 33 played minutes MERSİN SK got a freekick which was hit by Ömer Ünsal. 4-0 became the score in the 36th minute when Mirza Eyüpoğlu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haşim Kavi got free with Alper Suerkan in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Mirza Eyüpoğlu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alper Suerkan. That made the score 5-0 in the 44 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mehmet Ferit Çelikhan made the kick off in the second half. The MERSİN SK fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when MERSİN SK's Haşim Kavi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 56 minutes, Demiralp Demirman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ilgin FK and the MERSİN SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Ilgin FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demiralp Demirman to maneuver through the defense. Alper Suerkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haşim Kavi, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Şanver Kayra charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Şanver Kayra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Şanver Kayra hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Mehmet Ferit Çelikhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Emrah Adal having to interfere. After 64 played minutes MERSİN SK got a freekick which was hit by Ömer Ünsal. The supporters of Ilgin FK booed when MERSİN SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Müfit Muren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Ilgin FK's Kubilay Namal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Emrah Adal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mehmet Emrah Adal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakan Zikri in the 72nd minute. After 73 played minutes MERSİN SK got a freekick which was hit by Ömer Ünsal. Hakan Zikri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Mehmet Emrah Adal made a huge save. Hakan Zikri came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mehmet Emrah Adal could save by the left post. In the 81st minute of the match Ahmet Vefik Tanaltan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alper Suerkan skillfully saved the ball. 82 minutes into the match, MERSİN SK's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Ferit Çelikhan came free, but Mehmet Emrah Adal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Ferit Çelikhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Müfit Muren hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehmet Ferit Çelikhan in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Emrah Adal saved MERSİN SK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Ferit Çelikhan in the 89th minute of play forced MERSİN SK's goalkeeper Mehmet Emrah Adal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Mehmet Emrah Adal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mehmet Emrah Adal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Ferit Çelikhan in the 95th minute of the match. Ilgin FK were furious when Mithat Nebi was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Alper Suerkan had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Mirza Eyüpoğlu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. MERSİN SK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ilgin FK for a fine match.
