Rıdvan Özdek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şafak Çiltay having to interfere. The supporters of AdanaDemirSpor booed when ENGINEERS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şener Bilkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Orhan Veli Şirvan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Şafak Çiltay. Orhan Veli Şirvan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. AdanaDemirSpor's Ahmet Nafiz Uzcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fevzi Uyar in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ENGINEERS's zone, Rıdvan Özdek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şafak Çiltay came out of the goal and Rıdvan Özdek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Nafiz Uzcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barlas Çeliksu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Ünsal Engintalay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serbülent Serhan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Nafiz Uzcan. AdanaDemirSpor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fevzi Uyar took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Nafiz Uzcan. Ahmet Nafiz Uzcan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Yağızhan Önen might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şafak Çiltay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yağızhan Önen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute Yağızhan Önen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şafak Çiltay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yağızhan Önen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Nafiz Uzcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fevzi Uyar in the 47th minute of play. Şener Bilkan succeeded in the game's 48th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. After the first half ENGINEERS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Şaban Canol to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the game, Barlas Çeliksu landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. A collision led to AdanaDemirSpor getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Yağızhan Önen hit a great ball. After 57 minutes of play, ENGINEERS's Şener Bilkan made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmet Nafiz Uzcan was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, AdanaDemirSpor's Ahmet Nafiz Uzcan got control of the ball when Şener Bilkan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, ENGINEERS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ege Hacıfettahoğlu to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in ENGINEERS's zone, Rıdvan Özdek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şafak Çiltay came out of the goal and Rıdvan Özdek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ege Hacıfettahoğlu in the 77th minute of play forced AdanaDemirSpor's goalkeeper Ahmet Nafiz Uzcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Çetin Turcan made in the 79th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Şener Bilkan. Rıdvan Özdek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Şafak Çiltay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yağızhan Önen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şafak Çiltay having to interfere. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing ENGINEERS to win.
