Cumali Mukremin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cihangir Bozyiğit having to interfere. Samim Oğuzman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute Cyprian Podolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samim Oğuzman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cyprian Podolski struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Samim Oğuzman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AŞKIN SK. With a little luck, AŞKIN SK's Cihangir Bozyiğit got control of the ball when Giray Bayram tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute Anibal Lopez de Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samim Oğuzman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samim Oğuzman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Podolski, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind AŞKIN SK's goalkeeper Cihangir Bozyiğit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Anibal Lopez de Toro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AŞKIN SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 42 minutes into the game, when İlhami Uçbay put in a rough tackle. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Senirkent! In the 44th minute there was a penalty for AŞKIN SK. Ferdi Ersezen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Samim Oğuzman. 0-3. After some careless play in the Senirkent defense, Anibal Lopez de Toro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samim Oğuzman. The Senirkent fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samim Oğuzman should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cyprian Podolski made the kick off in the second half. Halis Kayrahan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cihangir Bozyiğit having to make a save. When Cevat Taşkınay fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Senirkent's protests and gave Cevat Taşkınay a yellow card for diving instead. Cevat Taşkınay hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Anibal Lopez de Toro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. AŞKIN SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Samim Oğuzman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyprian Podolski in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Anibal Lopez de Toro managed to get in a good position for a shot. AŞKIN SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Lopez de Toro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samim Oğuzman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Anibal Lopez de Toro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samim Oğuzman was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Giray Bayram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AŞKIN SK's Cihangir Bozyiğit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giray Bayram in the 83rd minute of play. Aydemir Eripek hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Cyprian Podolski in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Samim Oğuzman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 92 minutes, Halis Kayrahan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Senirkent and the AŞKIN SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Halis Kayrahan kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Cyprian Podolski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The AŞKIN SK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
