Sertel Uraltay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Songurbey Türkmen in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ARSLANGÜCÜ's zone, Songurbey Türkmen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sertel Uraltay came out of the goal and Songurbey Türkmen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Songurbey Türkmen might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sertel Uraltay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Songurbey Türkmen ran back to his position shaking his head. If Burhanettin Haymanalı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, ARSLANGÜCÜ's goalkeeper Sertel Uraltay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Okanay Utman. In the 40th minute, Ahmet Hayri Yörükoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Galatasaray's attack was well implemented in the 62nd minute, but when Songurbey Türkmen was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. When Bekir Tolgunay came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bekir Tolgunay couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Cumali Yavuzcan made a precise shot to the right of Ferhat Atabey. Galatasaray's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Rafettin Erbay charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafettin Erbay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ARSLANGÜCÜ's Sertel Uraltay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burhanettin Haymanalı in the 97th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Galatasaray failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
