Rumeli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tokat the free kick. Refik Sönmezalp kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Rüknettin Denizalp had to leave the field with a concussion. 20 minutes into the game, Semi Taçkın was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Babür Tunçöven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İzzettin Ayalp having to interfere. İzzettin Ayalp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Babür Tunçöven went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hasan Can Erandaç got free with Okanay Serhun in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Rumeli's zone, Dündar İsmail stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Okanay Serhun came out of the goal and Dündar İsmail tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afşar Vakkasoğlu in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Okanay Serhun saved Rumeli from getting behind. Okanay Serhun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hasan Can Erandaç in the 58th minute of the match. Dündar İsmail sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hasan Can Erandaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okanay Serhun having to interfere. Babür Tunçöven helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tokat booed when Rumeli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babür Tunçöven didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Hasan Can Erandaç had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Okanay Serhun. Rumeli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hasan Can Erandaç was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Tokat's Hasan Can Erandaç got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. İzzettin Ayalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babür Tunçöven, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Hasan Can Erandaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
