After a defensive mix-up in Cay FK's zone, Mücahit Kamil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hurşit Tuna came out of the goal and Mücahit Kamil tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 7th minute of the match Ziya Ayazoğlu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hurşit Tuna skillfully saved the ball. Hurşit Tuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haluk Canatan, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by İshak Adılhan in the 18th minute of play forced Cay FK's goalkeeper Hurşit Tuna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Haluk Canatan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haluk Canatan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hurşit Tuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haluk Canatan in the 25th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Cay FK's Mehmet Bilge İmruz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rahmi Akşit was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute Haluk Canatan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hurşit Tuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Agva booed when Cay FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beşir Temizkanoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cay FK's Hurşit Tuna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İshak Adılhan in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Haluk Canatan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hurşit Tuna was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. 43 minutes into the match, Agva's goal looked a bit too open when Cüneyt Tunçkol came free, but Rahmi Akşit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

51 minutes into the match, Cay FK's goalkeeper Hurşit Tuna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haluk Canatan. A collision led to Agva getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Kamer Satır hit a great ball. Haluk Canatan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, İshak Adılhan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agva's supporters rose to their feet, but İshak Adılhan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hurşit Tuna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hurşit Tuna made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Haluk Canatan sent off a good shot on target. After 74 played minutes Cay FK got a freekick which was hit by Beşir Temizkanoğlu. It was a well-played corner which Kazım Nursal managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Hurşit Tuna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İshak Adılhan's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Beşir Temizkanoğlu hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Haluk Canatan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When İshak Adılhan came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Agva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İshak Adılhan couldn't finish the play. If Haluk Canatan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hurşit Tuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İshak Adılhan in the 93rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gökay Pekol during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Agva's Gökay Pekol got a free kick in the 96th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Cay FK's Ahmet Harun Bahadır tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
