ANADOLU EREĞLİ's Aytek Sağlamtürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cebrail Tezalp in the 14th minute of play. Özcan Deveci charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Özcan Deveci the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Özcan Deveci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When ANADOLU EREĞLİ's Eyüp Koyas in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. David Billock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eyüp Koyas, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The audience was convinced that Eyüp Koyas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Billock was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Eyüp Koyas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of David Billock. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cebrail Tezalp to make the kick off. ANADOLU EREĞLİ's supporters rose to their feet, but Eyüp Koyas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Billock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded ANADOLU EREĞLİ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pendik FK.
