The Genzo Wakabayashi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mehmet Bedri Erginsoy should have stopped the shot. Hakkı Onur Başeskioğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haşmet Özilhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute, Mehmet Fatih Cumhur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mehmet Bedri Erginsoy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Mahir Ergüner came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Genzo Wakabayashi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mahir Ergüner couldn't finish the play. Hakkı Onur Başeskioğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haşmet Özilhan in the 38th minute of the match. Haşmet Özilhan took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hakkı Onur Başeskioğlu. Hakkı Onur Başeskioğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 47 minutes into the match, Inebolu's goal looked a bit too open when Duran Demiray came free, but Hakkı Onur Başeskioğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 47th minute of the match Mehmet Fatih Cumhur completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mehmet Fatih Cumhur a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Inebolu's Mehmet Fatih Cumhur got a free kick in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 69th minute of the match, Haşmet Özilhan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hakkı Onur Başeskioğlu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Genzo Wakabayashi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
