Vahit Baykal hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The Ula fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Ula's Ekber Yetkin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kamer Sabih got free with Aytuğ Özben in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Numan Erzan during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ula getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Numan Erzan hit a great ball. Zülfü Özdamar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ekber Yetkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aytuğ Özben was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ali Behzat Ilgınlı. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ekber Yetkin to make the kick off. Zülfü Özdamar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gafur Saip in the 56th minute. Göksel Uluçkan charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Göksel Uluçkan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
