An unexpectedly hard shot by Boran Aktay in the 37th minute of play forced Ula's goalkeeper Aytuğ Özben to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gafur Saip in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck İlhami Özbil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahmet Asım Tanfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gafur Saip came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ula fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gafur Saip couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boran Aktay in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aytuğ Özben saved Ula from getting behind. 79 minutes into the match, Ula's goal looked a bit too open when Semi Denizalp came free, but Aytuğ Özben reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İlhami Özbil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gafur Saip in the 80th minute. Gafur Saip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gafur Saip could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but İlhami Özbil made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gafur Saip got free with İlhami Özbil in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
