Anıl Arda Vezir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serdar Necip in the 4th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Muhittin Tanbay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Konyaalti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Güney the free kick. Kılıçalp Yöntem hit a great ball. Konyaalti's Anıl Arda Vezir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermanno Rocco in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Konyaalti's Kaptan Esay got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Güney's goalkeeper Necaettin İhsan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th match minute, Konyaalti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Efe Sezmen to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Konyaalti's Anıl Arda Vezir got control of the ball when Gökmen Özguc tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute Ahmet Efe Sezmen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necaettin İhsan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Muhittin Tanbay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Necaettin İhsan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 40 minutes into the game, Konyaalti's Muhittin Tanbay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Necaettin İhsan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Kayhan Öktürk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ermanno Rocco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Konyaalti's Muhittin Tanbay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Necaettin İhsan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mehmet Edip Kocak hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The supporters of Konyaalti booed when Güney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Reha Özgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Necaettin İhsan was a little too slow when Ahmet Efe Sezmen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-3. After 71 minutes of play, Güney's Ermanno Rocco made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anıl Arda Vezir was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kayhan Öktürk struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Necaettin İhsan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Konyaalti. Kılıçalp Yöntem hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Konyaalti's Muhittin Tanbay got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kayhan Öktürk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gökhan İzci fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Güney's protests and gave Gökhan İzci a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Güney's Gökhan İzci got a free kick in the 89th minute.
