The crowd rose to their feet as Konyaalti's Muhittin Tanbay slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Devran Aktürk. That made the score 2-0 after 34 minutes of play. If Muhittin Tanbay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kayhan Öktürk struck a weak shot in the 41st minute.
