The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. U21 FC's Bedir Gence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save U21 FC from getting a goal against them. Bedir Gence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Haydar Tükel in the 5th minute of play. Şenol Gencer kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Veni Vidi Vici's Selmi Sungurbay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When U21 FC's Fikret Eraltay in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Veni Vidi Vici's goalie prevented a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Veni Vidi Vici's goal looked a bit too open when Fikret Eraltay came free, but Nazil Özilter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 played minutes Veni Vidi Vici got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet İlke Sabuncu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zafer Metin in the 16th minute of play forced Veni Vidi Vici's goalkeeper Nazil Özilter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th match minute, U21 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Necat Önateş to maneuver through the defense. Selmi Sungurbay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 FC's Esen Tümay got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Fikret Eraltay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Veni Vidi Vici! Zafer Metin shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After some careless play in the Veni Vidi Vici defense, Fikret Eraltay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nazil Özilter. The Veni Vidi Vici fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nazil Özilter should have stopped the shot. If Ali Haydar Tükel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fikret Eraltay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Esen Tümay scored 1-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nazil Özilter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nazil Özilter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esen Tümay in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fikret Eraltay in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nazil Özilter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Fikret Eraltay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nazil Özilter. That made the score 1-3 in the 64 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yılmaz Muren in the 68th minute of play forced Veni Vidi Vici's goalkeeper Nazil Özilter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nazil Özilter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Affan Sayfi in the 71st minute. Fikret Eraltay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nazil Özilter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Veni Vidi Vici's goal looked a bit too open when Esen Tümay came free, but Nazil Özilter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esen Tümay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ergin Nesim during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes U21 FC got a freekick which was hit by Ergin Nesim. In the 81st minute, U21 FC's Fikret Eraltay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nazil Özilter. Nazil Özilter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. After 94 played minutes Veni Vidi Vici got a freekick which was hit by Selmi Sungurbay. U21 FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
