Yasin Şahbey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Şanver Sarıcabay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Ahmet Rıfat İşkembeci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heybeliada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cᴀɴᴇʏ ᶠᶜ the free kick. Ahmet Rıfat İşkembeci hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bülent Zati got free with Şanver Sarıcabay in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Heybeliada's Şanver Sarıcabay got control of the ball when Bülent Zati tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Heybeliada getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ender Canatan hit a great ball. Mutlu Garipbaş hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Mehmet Halis Çağar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mutlu Garipbaş in the 43rd minute of play. When Bülent Zati came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Cᴀɴᴇʏ ᶠᶜ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bülent Zati couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Bülent Zati dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Şanver Sarıcabay, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mutlu Garipbaş to make the kick off. Mutlu Garipbaş charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mutlu Garipbaş the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 60 played minutes Heybeliada got a freekick which was hit by Mutlu Garipbaş. After 62 played minutes Heybeliada got a freekick which was hit by Ender Canatan. Heybeliada's Şanver Sarıcabay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bülent Zati in the 63rd minute of play. During the 63rd minute of the match Lefter Erdönmez completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lefter Erdönmez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Lefter Erdönmez hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes Heybeliada got a freekick which was hit by Mutlu Garipbaş. Yaşar Arıkan kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Ahmet Yahya Akgün's late challenge caught a Heybeliada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ender Canatan hit a great ball. In the 97th minute Bülent Zati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şanver Sarıcabay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
