Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vanspor FK's Varol Dilsaz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Serkan Tokcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mümin Oba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Varol Dilsaz in the 7th minute of play. Vanspor FK's Murat Selim Tezalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ergin Mengüalp in the 8th minute of play. Murat Selim Tezalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ergin Mengüalp in the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Eralp Özerhan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Soma's Mümin Oba. Mümin Oba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murat Selim Tezalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Behzat Refah in the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Soma's Fırat Ertaş got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Abdulvahit Kuntman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serkan Tokcan got free with Murat Selim Tezalp in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Soma's Mümin Oba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Varol Dilsaz in the 29th minute of play. Mümin Oba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eralp Özerhan in the 32nd minute of play. Ali Behzat Refah hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Halit Fahri Bilginer kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Behlül Andaç charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Behlül Andaç the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, Behlül Andaç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serkan Tokcan in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Murat Selim Tezalp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Muzaffer Okcun took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Murat Selim Tezalp to make any attempt to save it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The audience was convinced that Varol Dilsaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mümin Oba was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Ali Behzat Refah struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Murat Selim Tezalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soma. After a rather tough play, Soma's Ergin Mengüalp got a free kick in the 58th minute. Varol Dilsaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Varol Dilsaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanspor FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Varol Dilsaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mümin Oba made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Eralp Özerhan sent off a good shot on target. If Varol Dilsaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Varol Dilsaz in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mümin Oba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Murat Selim Tezalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serkan Tokcan in the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Vanspor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Behzat Refah came free, but Murat Selim Tezalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kubat Yalavaç's late challenge caught a Soma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kubat Yalavaç helped the player get up and apologised. Kubat Yalavaç kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Vanspor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Serkan Tokcan came free, but Murat Selim Tezalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murat Selim Tezalp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serkan Tokcan went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Vanspor FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
