After a rather tough play, Hüyük's Gazanfer Pozan got a free kick in the 21st minute. Necdet Onat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute Orkun Dilan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artaç Mazhar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Akgün Lut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enginsu Temizkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akgün Lut, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Zaid Yurdaer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Artaç Mazhar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nuralp Rical had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samim Eğilmez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akgün Lut in the 44th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Enginsu Temizkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GALATASARAY's Enginsu Temizkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nusret Ehlimen in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute Akgün Lut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enginsu Temizkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Akgün Lut made a kick off. After some careless play in the GALATASARAY defense, Akgün Lut kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enginsu Temizkan. The GALATASARAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enginsu Temizkan should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the match, Akgün Lut dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enginsu Temizkan, 1-4. GALATASARAY's Enginsu Temizkan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Akgün Lut came free, but Enginsu Temizkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nuralp Rical had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Hüyük's Necdet Hirfet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enginsu Temizkan. That made the score 1-5 after 73 minutes of play. With a little luck, GALATASARAY's Enginsu Temizkan got control of the ball when Gazanfer Pozan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuralp Rical to maneuver through the defense. Enginsu Temizkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akgün Lut, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hüyük had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
