Ricard Bjørknæs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hüseyin Can Samim, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 16 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Abdi Saygın Özerek was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of Bornova booed when ULTRA KAMAN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tansel Serkut didn't get a good kick on the ball. ULTRA KAMAN FC's Ricard Bjørknæs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save ULTRA KAMAN FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Muammer Ergül in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdi Saygın Özerek saved Bornova from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Can Samim came free, but Abdi Saygın Özerek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, ULTRA KAMAN FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gökhan Umur came free, but Ricard Bjørknæs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Bornova getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Onisim Olabe hit a great ball. In the 44th minute Muammer Ergül shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdi Saygın Özerek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Muammer Ergül managed to get in a good position for a shot. ULTRA KAMAN FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Muammer Ergül was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdi Saygın Özerek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Muammer Ergül to strike the kick off in the second half. When Gökhan Umur came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Bornova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gökhan Umur couldn't finish the play.
