Hakkı Deniz Sayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yağız Nadir in the 3rd minute of play. Cihan Okanay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rüknettin Peşrev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute of the match, Rüknettin Peşrev got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cihan Okanay was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hakkı Deniz Sayman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Judas Juan Sebastian went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gilvan Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Selman Işınay hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Gilvan Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esenler's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilvan Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hakkı Deniz Sayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Marinho in the 18th minute of play. Esenler's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Şensoy Tufan scored to the left of an out of position Cihan Okanay, making the score, 1-1. If Yağız Nadir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İlker Peker hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, one of Esenler:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cihan Okanay had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Tacettin Dertsiz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 40th minute, Gilvan Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mihaliccik's Sancarbey Özerman got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute, Yağız Nadir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esenler fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Şensoy Tufan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Esenler were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Arda Semim kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Tacettin Dertsiz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cihan Okanay skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Yağız Nadir kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hakkı Deniz Sayman. That made the score 1-4 in the 53 minute of play. Gilvan Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Hakkı Deniz Sayman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hakkı Deniz Sayman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yağız Nadir's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Rüknettin Peşrev charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rüknettin Peşrev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mihaliccik getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Rüknettin Peşrev hit a great ball. When Yağız Nadir came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Esenler fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yağız Nadir couldn't finish the play. If Rüknettin Peşrev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yağız Nadir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orhan Veli Onay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cihan Okanay. Esenler's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hakkı Deniz Sayman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilvan Marinho in the 73rd minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Yağız Nadir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
