Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kastamonuspor's Baskın Kalender started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Ahmet Korkut Saru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seyrani Savtuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Avanos booed when Kastamonuspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baskın Kalender didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Saltuk Yurtseven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avanos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saltuk Yurtseven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute Paşa Mutlugün shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Furkan Özaydın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Baskın Kalender recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Furkan Özaydın. Baskın Kalender showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Ahmet Korkut Saru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Saltuk Yurtseven came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Avanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saltuk Yurtseven couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Ceyhan Temizsoy charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Ceyhan Temizsoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Kastamonuspor's zone, Saltuk Yurtseven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seyrani Savtuna came out of the goal and Saltuk Yurtseven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Ahmet Korkut Saru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avanos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Korkut Saru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saltuk Yurtseven might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seyrani Savtuna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saltuk Yurtseven ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Avanos's Saltuk Yurtseven sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Seyrani Savtuna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baskın Kalender struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Furkan Özaydın didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kastamonuspor. Kastamonuspor's Baskın Kalender got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baskın Kalender fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Furkan Özaydın having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saltuk Yurtseven to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes Avanos got a freekick which was hit by Akay Semin. After a rather tough play, Avanos's Akay Semin got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 67th minute, Saltuk Yurtseven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kılıç Geylanoğlu hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Baskın Kalender fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Furkan Özaydın having to interfere. Avanos's Furkan Özaydın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baskın Kalender in the 77th minute of play. Dinç Riva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Furkan Özaydın. Avanos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Akay Semin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avanos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kastamonuspor the free kick. After some careless play in the Avanos defense, Baskın Kalender kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Furkan Özaydın. The Avanos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Furkan Özaydın should have stopped the shot. When Karadeniz Sarpkan fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kastamonuspor's protests and gave Karadeniz Sarpkan a yellow card for diving instead. 90 minutes into the match, Kastamonuspor's goalkeeper Seyrani Savtuna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Korkut Saru. For all the effort they put into the match, the Avanos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kastamonuspor.
