İlyas Saygın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Erdoğan Akartuna made a huge save. In the 26th minute Sarkisla were awarded a corner. Erdinç Turhan went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ataman Erginer in the 28th minute of play forced Sarkisla's goalkeeper Erdi Özalpsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erdoğan Akartuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akşemseddin Hatip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ali Numan Dölek fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rubu's protests and gave Ali Numan Dölek a yellow card for diving instead. Erdoğan Akartuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İlyas Saygın in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, İlyas Saygın recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erdoğan Akartuna. İlyas Saygın showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. If İlyas Saygın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ataman Erginer to make the kick off. İlyas Saygın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 minutes of play Rubu's Ali Numan Dölek was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ali Numan Dölek kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Rubu's goal looked a bit too open when İlyas Saygın came free, but Erdoğan Akartuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akşemseddin Hatip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. With a little luck, Sarkisla's Erdi Özalpsan got control of the ball when Seyfettin Türkcan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, İlyas Saygın managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarkisla's supporters rose to their feet, but İlyas Saygın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erdoğan Akartuna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sarkisla's Nuri Nadir suffered a sore thigh after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Remzi İnanır got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Sarkisla's Arif Ozan Orhan was substituted for Nuri Nadir. The supporters of Sarkisla booed when Rubu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remzi İnanır didn't get a good kick on the ball. İlyas Saygın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erdoğan Akartuna having to interfere. In the 91st minute, İlyas Saygın left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sarkisla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Erdoğan Akartuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İlyas Saygın, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
