Arif Nihat Mennan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bora Han Tunçsoy went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, GÖZTEPE's Cisco Laguna got control of the ball when Hakkı Devrim Hızarcı tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yetkin Cambaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Cisco Laguna made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, Fahri İzci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GÖZTEPE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blackcity the free kick. The supporters of Blackcity booed when GÖZTEPE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fahri İzci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yetkin Cambaz charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yetkin Cambaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arif Nihat Mennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bora Han Tunçsoy in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to GÖZTEPE getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Fahri İzci hit a great ball. Hüsmen Gümüşsoy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With his leg Cisco Laguna managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Blackcity's Yetkin Cambaz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 40 minutes into the match, Bora Han Tunçsoy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Nihat Mennan. Blackcity's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bora Han Tunçsoy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bora Han Tunçsoy was the one to do the kick off. 67 minutes into the match, GÖZTEPE's goal looked a bit too open when Atahan Öğüç came free, but Cisco Laguna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Hayrettin Özaltuğ was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the final whistle went the supporters of GÖZTEPE were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Blackcity side.
