Behzat Zaik had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Gencer Tugay's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 37th match minute, barsel10a was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Asım Akbayrak to maneuver through the defense. Sait Ucatekin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Feridun Coşkuner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seyfettin Bilginer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
