In the 43rd minute Azmi Atabek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afşin Topuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes FC MERİÇ got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Danış Kayaer.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Danış Kayaer during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tigers booed when FC MERİÇ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Danış Kayaer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led Tigers's Musa Ersoy to fire away a dangerous shot which Ertaç Hurmacı despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azmi Atabek in the 69th minute of play forced Tigers's goalkeeper Afşin Topuz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gürhan Sarı to maneuver through the defense. Ertaç Hurmacı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boğaç Özdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 81 played minutes FC MERİÇ got a freekick which was hit by Furkan Öztimur. Ertaç Hurmacı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürhan Sarı in the 91st minute of play. Tigers's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
