The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kayhan Türev during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute, one of Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. Kayhan Türev was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Kayhan Türev kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Sufi Guftar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayri Cenker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, one of Nakkastepe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nakkastepe. 35 minutes into the match, Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş's Sufi Guftar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hayri Cenker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sufi Guftar scored 2-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hayri Cenker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sufi Guftar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayri Cenker having to interfere. Oktay Gerdaneri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doğan Giyas having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Sufi Guftar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şevket Başkur hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Lokman Isfahanlı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hayri Cenker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Nakkastepe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş:s goal. Lokman Isfahanlı placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 62nd match minute, Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Finocchi to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şenel Başöz in the 65th minute of play forced Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş's goalkeeper Doğan Giyas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doğan Giyas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oktay Gerdaneri, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Sufi Guftar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş's supporters rose to their feet, but Sufi Guftar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 82nd match minute, Nakkastepe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aytuğ Konuralp to maneuver through the defense. After 85 minutes of play, Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş's Ahmet Efe Enbiya made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hayri Cenker was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the game, Sufi Guftar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Hayri Cenker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Nakkastepe's goalkeeper Hayri Cenker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sufi Guftar. Oktay Gerdaneri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Doğan Giyas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sufi Guftar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Hayri Cenker made a huge save. Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
