Spectators: 7486 (Terracing: 5615, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Refik Halit Koçaslan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the game, Buğrahan Samih cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Akın Ungan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 7th minute, Batuhan Çırağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Derviş Gülen, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Istanbul United's attentive Cahit Turatekin managed to snatch the ball when Ali Vedat Ege made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. Akın Ungan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baransel Okbudun in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Aral Azimli notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Istanbul United's Akın Ungan. Akın Ungan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Atalay Taykut kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Aral Azimli scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Akın Ungan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aral Azimli kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in RM FK's zone, Refik Halit Koçaslan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yusuf Ziya Yılhan came out of the goal and Refik Halit Koçaslan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aral Azimli in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akın Ungan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yusuf Ziya Yılhan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mavi Büyükada went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baransel Okbudun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Istanbul United's Üzeyir Adahan got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute, Vedat Aktaş sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Istanbul United's Akın Ungan didn't even have to move. After 55 played minutes Istanbul United got a freekick which was hit by Refik Halit Koçaslan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baransel Okbudun in the 57th minute of play forced Istanbul United's goalkeeper Akın Ungan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasım Coşkuner hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Istanbul United's Mavi Büyükada got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Istanbul United's goal looked a bit too open when Baransel Okbudun came free, but Akın Ungan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Atalay Taykut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kasım Coşkuner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mavi Büyükada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atalay Taykut hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Istanbul United's Cahit Turatekin got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Baransel Okbudun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of RM FK were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Istanbul United side.
