With a little luck, KIRKLARELİ SK's Mehmet Emin Saffet got control of the ball when Tuncer Kutertan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mehmet Emin Saffet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tuncer Kutertan in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Tuncer Kutertan made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Emin Saffet. The supporters of Kartalspor booed when KIRKLARELİ SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ergincan Okanalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tuncer Kutertan in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Emin Saffet saved KIRKLARELİ SK from getting behind. KIRKLARELİ SK's Mehmet Emin Saffet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save KIRKLARELİ SK from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Zülfü Özalpsan made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Tuncer Kutertan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mehmet Emin Saffet was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Mehmet Emin Saffet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tuncer Kutertan's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the Kartalspor players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
