The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Emran Ülgen put in a rough tackle. A collision led to BJK SK getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Emran Ülgen hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Halil Utku Yalkı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boztepe's supporters rose to their feet, but Halil Utku Yalkı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tanju Başesgioğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gürol Sağan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanju Başesgioğlu having to interfere. Ali Nejat Çakmur scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tanju Başesgioğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute, Olcay Civanmert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Emre Özgenalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute, Halil İbrahim Vefakar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Emre Özgenalp came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the BJK SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emre Özgenalp couldn't finish the play. After having played for 25 minutes, Halil İbrahim Vefakar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BJK SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Halil İbrahim Vefakar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Halil İbrahim Vefakar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yılmaz Atasagun having to make a save. BJK SK's Emrullah Başsoy pulled a muscle in his leg after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Nejat Çakmur during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. BJK SK made a substitution. Arda Göksel Sezmen replaced Emrullah Başsoy. After a rather tough play, Boztepe's Ali Nejat Çakmur got a free kick in the 30th minute. Tanju Başesgioğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Nejat Çakmur in the 33rd minute of play. Gürol Sağan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arda Göksel Sezmen hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Tanju Başesgioğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halil Utku Yalkı in the 39th minute of the match. Gürol Sağan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanju Başesgioğlu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Nejat Çakmur in the 48th minute of play forced BJK SK's goalkeeper Tanju Başesgioğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Nejat Çakmur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Gürol Sağan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 52 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tanju Başesgioğlu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Halil Utku Yalkı got free with Tanju Başesgioğlu in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, BJK SK's Tanju Başesgioğlu got control of the ball when Ali Nejat Çakmur tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Boztepe booed when BJK SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Kaan Sati didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Emre Özgenalp notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Boztepe's Yılmaz Atasagun. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Nejat Çakmur in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tanju Başesgioğlu saved BJK SK from getting behind. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Ali Nejat Çakmur got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-3. 77 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Ali Nejat Çakmur took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Tanju Başesgioğlu to make any attempt to save it. 88 minutes into the match, BJK SK's goalkeeper Tanju Başesgioğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Halil Utku Yalkı. In the 92nd minute, Emre Özgenalp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BJK SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Ali Nejat Çakmur succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 97th playminute. When the final whistle sounded Boztepe left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than BJK SK.
