But to his dismay, Arif Gaffar Selmi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Safirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Işıkalp Baytüzün came free, but Kunter Toktuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Dinçer Akbaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kunter Toktuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Safirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Göktuğ Demiray came free, but Kunter Toktuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Safirspor booed when FC KOZAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barlas Şanalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th match minute, Safirspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muharrem Türev to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinçer Akbaba in the 33rd minute of play forced Safirspor's goalkeeper Kunter Toktuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Safirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Göktuğ Demiray came free, but Kunter Toktuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kunter Toktuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Işıkalp Baytüzün in the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Işıkalp Baytüzün made a precise shot to the right of Kunter Toktuğ. Safirspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Işıkalp Baytüzün scored 1-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kunter Toktuğ, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute, Safirspor's Muharrem Türev seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Muharrem Türev the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Safirspor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Muharrem Türev had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Safirspor! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The wind increased when Arif Gaffar Selmi made the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the game, Abdulaziz Tulum was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Safirspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC KOZAN the free kick. In the 59th minute, Abdulaziz Tulum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yusuf Bahadır Tancan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arif Gaffar Selmi's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Işıkalp Baytüzün got free with Kunter Toktuğ in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in FC KOZAN's zone, Arif Gaffar Selmi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yusuf Bahadır Tancan came out of the goal and Arif Gaffar Selmi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Karahan Albayrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Safirspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karahan Albayrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Orbay Salikbey took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Kunter Toktuğ to make any attempt to save it. If Dinçer Akbaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kunter Toktuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orbay Salikbey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Işıkalp Baytüzün got free with Kunter Toktuğ in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 94 minutes of play, FC KOZAN's Işıkalp Baytüzün made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kunter Toktuğ was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kunter Toktuğ was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Işıkalp Baytüzün showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 98 minute of play. FC KOZAN's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
