Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) GALATASARAY's Peyami Otaç started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Karakocan got a freekick which was hit by Cemalettin Ozaner. In the 7th minute of the match Mehmet Çağrı Yiğitkan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Halit Fahri Kılıçhan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Kıvanç Şanlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Cafer Hızlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezgin Cihansah having to interfere. Halit Fahri Kılıçhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peyami Otaç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Raşit Renan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th match minute, Karakocan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aşık Yeğin to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes, GALATASARAY's Mehmet Çağrı Yiğitkan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Halit Fahri Kılıçhan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GALATASARAY reached it. Halit Fahri Kılıçhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peyami Otaç, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Erenay Sanak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Halit Fahri Kılıçhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Peyami Otaç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peyami Otaç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sezgin Cihansah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Cafer Hızlan in the 46th minute of the match. Erenay Sanak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halit Fahri Kılıçhan having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Cafer Hızlan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Cafer Hızlan in the 51st minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Sezgin Cihansah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evren Adsoy during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Evren Adsoy hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raşit Renan in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sezgin Cihansah saved GALATASARAY from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, Karakocan's goal looked a bit too open when Peyami Otaç came free, but Halit Fahri Kılıçhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Peyami Otaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oğuzer Tutuş kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Ali Cafer Hızlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Sezgin Cihansah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Cafer Hızlan struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Sezgin Cihansah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karakocan. Azim Cantürk hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 88th of the match, Peyami Otaç tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Halit Fahri Kılıçhan got in the way and made a wonderful save. 89 minutes into the game, one of Karakocan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 91 minutes, GALATASARAY's Mehmet Çağrı Yiğitkan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Halit Fahri Kılıçhan. 94 minutes into the match, Karakocan's goalkeeper Halit Fahri Kılıçhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erenay Sanak. Peyami Otaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Halit Fahri Kılıçhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over GALATASARAY could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Karakocan throughout the match.
