Arif Tugay Nejat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Aydin JK booed when Refahiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Refik Cesur didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Aydin JK's Mustafa Numan Temizer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arif Tugay Nejat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Wieslaw Przebendowski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gürhan Seçkin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 10 minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Jan Ahlfors managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aydin JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Ahlfors was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aydin JK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gürhan Seçkin made a kick off. Wieslaw Przebendowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdullatif Akyel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arif Tugay Nejat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Ahlfors in the 73rd minute of play. If Abdullatif Akyel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gürhan Seçkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Refahiye getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Refik Cesur hit a great ball. Aydin JK's Wieslaw Przebendowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayındır Mehmet Kolçak in the 91st minute of play. Wieslaw Przebendowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürhan Seçkin in the 93rd minute of the match.
