Dinçer Esir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. İsmail Hakkı Cihanser might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over İbrahim Efe Kutluay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İsmail Hakkı Cihanser ran back to his position shaking his head. 13 minutes into the match, Mestral Akademi's Anıl Berk Toktahan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that İbrahim Efe Kutluay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ali Faruk Candemir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinçer Esir, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Resul Hacıahmetoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Faruk Candemir having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anıl Berk Toktahan in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck İbrahim Efe Kutluay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Southern in the North defense, İsmail Hakkı Cihanser kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of İbrahim Efe Kutluay. The Southern in the North fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that İbrahim Efe Kutluay should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Mestral Akademi's Ayberk Baytüzün got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anıl Berk Toktahan in the 43rd minute of play forced Southern in the North's goalkeeper İbrahim Efe Kutluay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinçer Esir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Faruk Candemir having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Ali Faruk Candemir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinçer Esir in the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to Mestral Akademi getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Aytaç Hadim hit a great ball. Dinçer Esir struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Ali Faruk Candemir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southern in the North. İsmail Hakkı Cihanser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but İbrahim Efe Kutluay made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Dinçer Esir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southern in the North's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinçer Esir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Faruk Candemir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anıl Berk Toktahan in the 77th minute of play forced Southern in the North's goalkeeper İbrahim Efe Kutluay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baycan Savlet kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Dinçer Esir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ali Faruk Candemir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mestral Akademi were furious when Yakup Kadri Vezir was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mestral Akademi! The referee gave Southern in the North a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Atay Doğa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mestral Akademi's Ali Faruk Candemir. 1-1. Aytaç Hadim took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised İbrahim Efe Kutluay. İbrahim Efe Kutluay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Mestral Akademi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mestral Akademi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
