Esat Serhad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Resul Hacıahmetoğlu in the 18th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Yesiltepespor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melih Eymen to maneuver through the defense. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Southern in the North reached it. Baskın Türköz charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 84 played minutes, Yesiltepespor's Mehdi Sorgun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper İbrahim Efe Kutluay came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
