In the 17th minute of the match Baskın Türköz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arif Tugay Nejat skillfully saved the ball. Dinçer Esir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Tugay Nejat having to interfere. If Resul Hacıahmetoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gürhan Seçkin in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck İbrahim Efe Kutluay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Resul Hacıahmetoğlu in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arif Tugay Nejat saved Refahiye from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Arif Tugay Nejat successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Abdullatif Akyel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Resul Hacıahmetoğlu struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Arif Tugay Nejat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southern in the North.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gürhan Seçkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Refahiye got a freekick which was hit by Refik Cesur. Abdullatif Akyel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The long shot by Enginalp Ustaoğlu in the 92nd minute really tested İbrahim Efe Kutluay's skills.
