Cahit Evliya's late challenge caught a Turhal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cahit Evliya helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oğuzer Benlioğlu during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aybar Baysan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Göksun Berksan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Altuğ Özal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Altuğ Özal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göksun Berksan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Altuğ Özal in the 25th minute of play forced Turhal's goalkeeper Göksun Berksan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Bornova FK defense, Lütfi Rızkullah kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulvi Kurhan. The Bornova FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulvi Kurhan should have stopped the shot. Süleyman Tanaltay kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Göksun Hiçyılmaz in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulvi Kurhan saved Bornova FK from getting behind. Aybar Baysan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Göksun Berksan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Altuğ Özal in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Göksun Berksan saved Turhal from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

53 minutes into the match, Turhal's goal looked a bit too open when Altuğ Özal came free, but Göksun Berksan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-2 became the score in the 56th minute when Lütfi Rızkullah elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göksun Hiçyılmaz in the 59th minute of play forced Bornova FK's goalkeeper Ulvi Kurhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes of play, Turhal's Göksun Hiçyılmaz made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulvi Kurhan was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Bornova FK booed when Turhal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position.
