The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ceylanspor's Teoman Osman got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ceylanspor booed when Tepecik SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artaç Yeler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Kamil Sabahaddin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceylanspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Kamil Sabahaddin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atilla Kağan Akkaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Tepecik SK's zone, Özgün Özgun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilla Kağan Akkaya came out of the goal and Özgün Özgun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes, Ceylanspor's Zeynel Hekim shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Atilla Kağan Akkaya came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ceylanspor reached it. Teoman Osman scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Atilla Kağan Akkaya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Teoman Osman fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ceylanspor's protests and gave Teoman Osman a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ceylanspor's Teoman Osman got a free kick in the 19th minute. Reis Binışık blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atilla Kağan Akkaya having to make a save. Atilla Kağan Akkaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teoman Osman in the 24th minute of the match. Kemalettin Refik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Resul Torgay in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Acar İzgi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kemalettin Refik was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Resul Torgay hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Teoman Osman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ceylanspor defense, Rauf Üngörmüş kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kemalettin Refik. The Ceylanspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kemalettin Refik should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute, Resul Torgay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tepecik SK getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Resul Torgay hit a great ball. If Reis Binışık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Acar İzgi was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Veysel Atatuğ made a precise shot to the right of Kemalettin Refik. Ceylanspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The audience was convinced that Teoman Osman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atilla Kağan Akkaya was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Atilla Kağan Akkaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teoman Osman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rauf Üngörmüş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
