The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gökhan Akdağ kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Acar İzgi spun around in front of the goal 4 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of GaLaTaSaRaY Fc's goal. 12 minutes into the match, GaLaTaSaRaY Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Acar İzgi came free, but Ilgaz Başer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Acar İzgi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tepecik SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Atilla Kağan Akkaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cenk Tosun, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Cenk Tosun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilla Kağan Akkaya having to interfere. Veysel Atatuğ took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilgaz Başer. Ilgaz Başer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. GaLaTaSaRaY Fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Rauf Üngörmüş scored to the left of an out of position Ilgaz Başer, making the score, 3-0. Mustafa Suheyl hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. GaLaTaSaRaY Fc's Ilgaz Başer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save GaLaTaSaRaY Fc from getting a goal against them. Ilgaz Başer stood somewhat misplaced when Acar İzgi came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 39 minute. Ilgaz Başer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Resul Torgay in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Veysel Atatuğ had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilgaz Başer. GaLaTaSaRaY Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Veysel Atatuğ was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Acar İzgi to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, GaLaTaSaRaY Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Veniamin Peroulis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acar İzgi in the 56th minute of play forced GaLaTaSaRaY Fc's goalkeeper Ilgaz Başer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Rauf Üngörmüş ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilgaz Başer was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Atilla Kağan Akkaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güney Özerman in the 62nd minute of the match. GaLaTaSaRaY Fc's Cenk Tosun got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilgaz Başer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artaç Yeler in the 68th minute of the match. Ilgaz Başer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acar İzgi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilgaz Başer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rauf Üngörmüş, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute Acar İzgi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilgaz Başer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cenk Tosun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 87 played minutes GaLaTaSaRaY Fc got a freekick which was hit by Güney Özerman. After 89 played minutes GaLaTaSaRaY Fc got a freekick which was hit by Cenk Tosun. 90 minutes into the game, Resul Torgay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Ilgaz Başer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. GaLaTaSaRaY Fc's Ilgaz Başer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acar İzgi in the 96th minute of play.
