In the 6th minute King Víkingsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Battal Cüneyt Sureha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Battal Cüneyt Sureha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Battal Cüneyt Sureha made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Arif Gaffar Kelami sent off a good shot on target. Korkutalp Özerman kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Cüneyt Dündar hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes 1949 Kartalspor got a freekick which was hit by Aslan Arslanoğlu. In the 21st minute Ertuğrul Tecimen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Valassas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikos Valassas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ertuğrul Tecimen's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The supporters of 1949 Kartalspor booed when TEKKESPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korkutalp Özerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Aslan Arslanoğlu managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 32nd minute, 1949 Kartalspor's Aslan Arslanoğlu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Nikos Valassas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hatemi Baloğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the 1949 Kartalspor defense, Hatemi Baloğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikos Valassas. The 1949 Kartalspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikos Valassas should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Arif Gaffar Kelami had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Battal Cüneyt Sureha. TEKKESPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arif Gaffar Kelami was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After a rather tough play, TEKKESPOR's Erdoğan Saltukalp got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 1949 Kartalspor's Aslan Arslanoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aslan Arslanoğlu in the 45th minute of play forced TEKKESPOR's goalkeeper Battal Cüneyt Sureha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aslan Arslanoğlu was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Aslan Arslanoğlu made a precise shot to the right of Battal Cüneyt Sureha. TEKKESPOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. In the 61st minute of the match, Hatemi Baloğlu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nikos Valassas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Battal Cüneyt Sureha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aslan Arslanoğlu's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Arif Gaffar Kelami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Battal Cüneyt Sureha having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, TEKKESPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hatemi Baloğlu to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Erdoğan Saltukalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85thth minute of the game Aslan Arslanoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TEKKESPOR's Battal Cüneyt Sureha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Battal Cüneyt Sureha came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by 1949 Kartalspor's Diaz Jofre. But to his dismay, Diaz Jofre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Hatemi Baloğlu struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Nikos Valassas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TEKKESPOR. Diaz Jofre took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Battal Cüneyt Sureha. Battal Cüneyt Sureha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. 1949 Kartalspor had played much better football throughout.
