Aydın Kemal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Atıf Yalgın acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 21st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alparslan Kuyas. The audience was convinced that Atalan Kutlucan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Özdemir Sökmen was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 47 played minutes, ѕoɴѕ oғ ѕυɴ's Tamer Orhan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Özdemir Sökmen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ѕoɴѕ oғ ѕυɴ reached it. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
