Ercan Zühtü stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Güven Mithat's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sarp Hadim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç in the 55th minute of play forced Ferizli's goalkeeper Lefter Şahtürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Topkapi SK's Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lefter Şahtürk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Özkan Işılay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Lefter Şahtürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cihan Devan fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Topkapi SK's protests and gave Cihan Devan a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Topkapi SK got a freekick which was hit by Cihan Devan. The Topkapi SK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ferizli had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
