The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match, Aslan Arslanoğlu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gündüz Gümüşcü saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aslan Arslanoğlu in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gündüz Gümüşcü prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Özkan Mümtaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikos Valassas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Nikos Valassas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özkan Mümtaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Özkan Mümtaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Valassas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gündüz Gümüşcü was a little too slow when Aslan Arslanoğlu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Özkan Mümtaz in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikos Valassas saved 1949 Kartalspor from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Ezequiel Aballe managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1949 Kartalspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Aballe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gündüz Gümüşcü breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hamit Volkan hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes 1949 Kartalspor got a freekick which was hit by Aytaç Ferhat. After some careless play in the 1949 Kartalspor defense, Steve Harvey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikos Valassas. Goklerspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1949 Kartalspor the free kick. After 94 minutes of play, 1949 Kartalspor's Aslan Arslanoğlu made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gündüz Gümüşcü was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the 1949 Kartalspor players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
