Derviş Tezay was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gani İstikbal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Gani İstikbal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Derviş Tezay made a huge save. When Gani İstikbal came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Genç Atsızlar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gani İstikbal couldn't finish the play. Özdemir Sökmen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aydın Gorgulov in the 39th minute of play. After 41 minutes Genç Atsızlar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Acar Salman who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Acar Salman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Özdemir Sökmen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Genç Atsızlar's Işık İnceman got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Ertaç Nabi struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Özdemir Sökmen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fikirtepe. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gani İstikbal to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Işık İnceman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the game, Marius Cerbu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fikirtepe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Genç Atsızlar the free kick. Marius Cerbu kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Mirza Yavuzalp was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Gani İstikbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aydın Gorgulov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Özdemir Sökmen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 minutes of play, Genç Atsızlar's Gani İstikbal made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Derviş Tezay was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Genç Atsızlar fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Genç Atsızlar's Gani İstikbal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 77th minute, Işık İnceman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Işık İnceman hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Octavian Eremciuc hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Aydın Gorgulov's late challenge caught a Genç Atsızlar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aydın Gorgulov helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 90 minutes, Aydın Gorgulov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fikirtepe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aydın Gorgulov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Aydın Gorgulov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fikirtepe's Aydın Gorgulov got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fikirtepe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Genç Atsızlar.
