Patrick Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the match, Arif Memduh Ulukut got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nikos Valassas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Aslan Arslanoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the 1949 Kartalspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aslan Arslanoğlu couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute Arif Gaffar Kelami suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Abbas Çırağ charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abbas Çırağ the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Abbas Çırağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İhsan Berkkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diaz Jofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Macit Malgır was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Diaz Jofre reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of İhsan Berkkan. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 57th minute Ali Macit Malgır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Valassas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vakfikebir's goalkeeper İhsan Berkkan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arif Memduh Ulukut scored 1-3 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikos Valassas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vakfikebir's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Aslan Arslanoğlu scored to the left of an out of position İhsan Berkkan, making the score, 1-4. Arif Memduh Ulukut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Nikos Valassas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikos Valassas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Macit Malgır in the 70th minute of play. Nikos Valassas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arif Memduh Ulukut, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 76 minutes, Diaz Jofre made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Vakfikebir's İhsan Berkkan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
